Days One & Two of Imaging USA left me overflowing with knowledge and fueled my desire for more and more!
On day one, classes by Khara Plicanic on a Wicked Fast Workflow, Stephen Eastman on Commercial Fashion and Beauty Lighting, and Quin and Dave Cheung on Creative Lighting for Weddings were all unbelievably informative and motivating. I can't wait to get home & shoot my next wedding!!
Ed LaManna, with Canon, was kind enough to print some enlargements for me on their 12 color 24" printer. Wow! The colors were rich and accurate. The images looked like velvet. Joe Delora, manager of Canon Professional Services, and the entire team were extraordinarily accommodating! And, Michael Joseph in the Canon booth was quite helpful answering equipment questions. Thanks to all of you!
Topping off the first day was a welcome party sponsored by Canon, which was superlative in every way. A live band had folks twirling and the dance floor, while character models posed for photos. A scrumptious buffet was greatly appreciative as it included everything from roast beef to key lime pie.
Day two was equally impressive. Glenn and I had a great visit to the Sigma Booth with Marc Farb who introduced us to many fine lenses in the Sigma lineup! I purchased a couple of quiklocks from Spyder to attach my Speedlites to my holster and a large (24x36 inch) frame which I am thrilled to get one of my photos in and display at my reception Saturday night at Neff Jewelers. Look for more on this in a future blog... Looked at numerous albums - lots of gorgeous options for brides-to-be!
Tomorrow promises to be just as good. It is the last day. Until next year...!
