As 2012 came to an end and I attempted to narrow down the "best" images of the year, I found myself asking, "How does one go about doing this? What criteria should be applied?" Do you go by the level of positive interest and input by others? Your own sentiments? Those images which the photographer finds most gratifying or those which may be most technologically proficient? How many should one identify?
Out of the thousands in my library from last year, I decided on 29. The decision was based in part on the images that received the most attention at exhibits and online, as well as some of my personal favorites. They represent a little of everything I shoot, with one notable exception. I chose not to include photos of people. Maybe next year... This time around, my Best of 2012 features birds, flowers, architectural details, and creative shots.
A heartfelt "thanks" to all of you for your support & motivation throughout the year!
Looking forward to a year of pixelated passion in 2013!!
